Poll: A-Rod On Brink Of 3,000 – Is He Hall Of Fame Worthy?

This question has been asked before and will be asked again - is Alex Rodriguez worthy of Baseball's Hall of Fame?

His steroid tainted career would indicate the answer is a definitive 'No'. After all, Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens have been passed aside - at least for the time being - due to their link to performance enhancing drugs.

But, I ask the question again with A-Rod on the brink of 3,000 hits, due to his combination of power and precision. Does that make him a cut above the rest, the Mark McGwire and Barry Bonds types?
