Ozzy Osbourne Postpones European Tour Dates
Ozzy Osbourne has once again postponed his previously scheduled European tour dates.
The trek was originally planned for early 2019 but was pushed back while Osbourne battled a severe upper-respiratory infection. The dates were postponed again when the rocker scrapped all tour plans following a fall at his Los Angeles home. The European leg of No More Tours 2 was then rescheduled for early 2020, but those dates have now been put on hold in an effort to help the still-ailing rocker recover.
“I’ve postponed my European tour because I’m not ready,” Osbourne admitted in a video posted to Facebook. “I’m not dying. I am recovering, but it’s just taking a little bit longer than everyone thought it would,” the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer declared, seemingly alluding to recent rumors regarding his health.
Osbourne went on to shed light on his recovery, joking that surgery has left him with “more nuts and bolts in my neck now than in my car.” “I’m bored stiff," he added. "I’ve been stuck on a fucking bed all day. I can’t wait to get off my ass and get going again. But you're just going to have to be a bit more patient.”
Though the European tour has been postponed, the rescheduled North American dates are still going ahead as planned. That leg will see the Black Sabbath frontman performing 27 shows beginning on May 27 with a concert in Atlanta. “When I do come back on the American tour, I want to be 100 percent ready to come out and knock your fucking socks off,” he said.
Disappointed fans may take some solace in some of the final words in Osbourne’s video. While insisting he’ll return to touring, the rocker also confirmed that a long-rumored new album is on the way.
