Rona wins again. Old Forge's annual snowmobile celebration, Snodeo is the latest victim of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organizers say they had exhausted all efforts to still keep the planned celebration. As usual, the blame goes on trying to meet the Coronavirus guidelines and protocols. Scheduled for the weekend of December 11 through 13 in Old Forge, Snodeo seemed to be the official kickoff to winter fun. The event showcases the newest in sleds, a vintage model show and swap, and youth races.

Snowmobile trails and the annual snowmobile raffle will go on as planned with a few changes. Trails open December 7 and the raffle drawing will now be held January 31, 2021 and there is no need to be present to win. More information and tickets are available online.
