A missing family dog was successfully rescued from a drain pipe at Onondaga Creek.

The Syracuse Mayors Office reports that the Syracuse Parks and Rec Dog Control officers, the Syracuse Police Department and the Syracuse Fire Department worked together to rescue a family dog trapped in a storm drain on the south side Friday.

The office says the team responded to a 911 call that the dog, Rebel, was stranded inside a concrete pipe along Onondaga Creek. The police, fire and dog control team carefully freed Rebel and reunited him with his owners.
