After serving hard time and re-entering the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, he has captured the imagination of sports fans, playing the best football of his life and even being discussed as a frontrunner to win the league's MVP award. But, have American's forgiven him to the point where they'd accept him owning a dog again?

Despite the fact that his legal sentence includes a lifetime ban on owning a dog, Vick recently announced that he'd like bring a pooch home.

"I would love to have another dog in the future," Vick said. "I think it would be a big step for me in the rehabilitation process, I think just to have a pet in my household and to show people that I genuinely care, and my love and my passion for animals, I think it would be outstanding. And if I ever have that opportunity again, I won't take it for granted."
