Jimmy Greenspoon Of Three Dog Night Loses Battle With Cancer [VIDEO]

A post on Three Dog Night's Facebook page confirms the 67 year old's death. It reads: "We are very saddened at the passing of our dear friend and longtime band mate Jimmy Greenspoon. Jimmy died peacefully at home today surrounded by his family. Please keep him and his loved ones in your prayers and your hearts."

5 months ago Jimmy launched a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for medical expenses during his battle with metastatic melanoma. Jimmy Greenspoon, Keyboardist for Three Dog Night died on March 11 at the age of 67.

Jimmy Greenspoon has performed with Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Linda Rondstat and many more great artists. He also composed original music for films. A few examples are Die Hard and Field of Dreams.

Chuck Negron, front man of Three Dog Night, Tweeted "Today, God took another for his rock and roll band in heaven. Jimmy Greenspoon left us today after a gallant and brave fight with cancer."
