Ilion PD Warning Residents Of Electric Scam

The Ilion Police Department is issuing a warning to village residents of suspicious activity in the village.

There are reports of a man impersating a "Ilion Light Department" employee.

 Several village residents have reported a male, claiming to work for the Village of Ilion Light Department, is going to change out electric meters. He is advising people to have their paperwork ready for when he gets there. The male is reportedly identifying himself as the "Ilion Electric Department" upon call back.
