Bagged and minimally processed veggies from Mann's sold at Aldi's and Walmart in CNY have been recalled because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The voluntary recall includes vegetable products in bags with "best if used by" dates from October 11 to October 20 listed on the front of the packaging or Julian dates 270-276.

The Miami Herald lists these specific brands at stores in CNY:

* Aldi store brand Little Salad Bar Broccoli Florets and Broccoli Slaw.
* Walmart store brand Broccoli Florets; Broccoli Cauliflower Florets; Broccoli Slaw; Stir Fry Medley; Cauliflower Florets; Cauliflower; Super Blend and Vegetable Medley.
* Trader Joe’s store brand Kohlrabi Salad Blend.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
