Herkimer County BOCES Students Sent Home Following Hazmat Accident

Officials at Herkimer County BOCES were forced to evacuate the building on Thursday morning following a hazmat emergency.

All students were sent home following the incident as a precautionary measure. Employees say a defective battery on a computer system was the source of the problem.

All students and employees were evacuated safely and there were no injuries.  The situation is now under control, according to employees.
