Healing Service in CNY to Honor Victims of Synagogue Shooting
All members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend an evening of prayer and support in CNY to honor those murdered at the Tree of Life congregation.
A 20-minute synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh has left 11 dead and 6 injured including 4 police officers. The murders took place during a prayer service in the Tree of Life congregation on Saturday, October 27, 2018.
A service of 'Solidarity and Healing' will take place on Monday, October 29, 7 PM in the sanctuary of Temple Emanu-El, 2710 Genesee Street. The service will be led by Rabbi Peter Schaktman, with the participation of clergy and other representatives from various faith communities in the Mohawk Valley. All members of the community are welcome and encouraged to attend. Parking is available behind the synagogue as well as on nearby streets.
