Green Bay Packers Hire Ilion Native to Coaching Staff

The Green Bay Packers have hired Brian Angelichio as their Tight-End coach. What relevance does this little bit of NFL news have here in Central New York? Well, this former Cleveland Browns Tight-End coach is a native of Ilion, NY.This isn't Angelichio's first NFL coaching run. According to a Green Bay fan site,

Angelichio most recently worked with the Cleveland Browns as part of Mike Pettine's staff. Under his direction, Jordan Cameron led all tight ends in yards per reception (17.7) in 2014. He also spent time on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers staff as well as the University of Pittsburgh.

Angelichio got his start coaching at Ithaca College. It is always cool to see a local boy (or gal) going on and doing big things. Congrats and good luck to Brian.
