Governor Cuomo Launches Statewide Holiday Donation Drive

2020 has a taken a toll on everyone, but what better way to put a wrap on this awful year than to help out fellow New Yorkers?

Governor Cuomo launched a statewide holiday donation drive earlier this week, where New Yorkers from Brooklyn to Buffalo (and everywhere in between) can drop off donations of new, unwrapped toys, coats, and school supplies to specified locations all across the state.

"This year has been difficult for more families than any time in recent memory," Governor Cuomo said. "While the holidays will look and feel different this year, it will not change what is in our hearts.  To ensure families in need are able to share in the joy of this season, I encourage all New Yorkers to consider making a donation and help make someone else's holiday just a little bit brighter."

There are 25 drop-off locations across the state, including three in Central New York.

• Senator John J. Hughes State Office Building, 333 E. Washington St., Syracuse
• Dulles State Office Building, 317 Washington St., Watertown
• Utica State Office Building, 207 Genesee St., Utica

Donations will be accepted through December 16, and COVID-19 health regulations like social distancing and masks will be enforced at the drop-off locations.
