Steeped in history and legends, New York is filled with stories of the forgotten, eerie and the weird that influence us everyday. Ghost Hunters and guests explored the floors of the haunted Hotel Utica on Halloween night in pursuit of the unknown.

On Halloween night, Haunts & Legends LIVE came to the Hotel Utica with SyFy stars Kris Williams of Ghost Hunters and Chris DiCesare to guide hotel guests and the curious through an exploration of the hotel.

Towering over downtown Utica, the Hotel Utica serves as the city’s crown jewel, having hosted Presidents and Hollywood stars but the hotel lost some of its grandeur as it sat vacant at the end of the 20th Century. Now restored, the Hotel Utica is once again housing travelers but there are floors that remain off-limits to the public and rumors persist that departed guests still roam the halls.

The day kicked off with a Psychic Fair that introduced everyone to the Shadow Chasers and Chris DiCesare that lasted until the VIP dinner. At the dinner VIPs met with the hosts and chatted about their experiences with SyFy and the paranormal while watching episodes of the Haunts & Legends.

During the investigation tours attendees recorded disembodied voices through EVPs, captured strange mists and orbs on photos and even reported seeing fleeting figures and other ghostly images. Several attendees recorded EVPs including that of a female voice and another of a male voice. One attendee actually recorded a dancing ball of light on her camera (which we're hoping she'll share with us) in one of the rooms.

Haunts & Legends LIVE brought everyone to the forbidden floors of Hotel Utica and to the haunted floors for a chance to explore and experience history and the legends of Central New York first-hand. Together with Kris Williams, Chris DiCesare, the Shadow Chasers and our explorers captured the echoes of the Hotel for the first time ever.
