‘Game of Thrones’ Star Filming Movie At Albany Airport

A new movie is being filmed in the Capital District, and one of the film's stars will be shooting some scenes at Albany International Airport this week.  Maisie Williams is part of the cast of "Departures."  Williams is best known for playing the part of Arya Stark in "Game of Thrones."  Also starring in the movie is Asa Butterfield of "Ender's Game."

According to timesunion.com, "Departures" is the story of a hypochondriac working as an airport baggage handler.  The young man's life changes when a teenager with a terminal illness asks him to help her live out her bucket list.

Besides filming at the Albany Airport, scenes are reported being shot at various locations throughout the Hudson Valley.  The IMDb site says "Departures" is scheduled for a 2018 release.
