Did you see May's Full Flower Moon? Whether you missed it or not, you'll want to see these photos

On May 10, 2017, at 5:42 pm the Sun, Earth, and Moon aligned and we saw this beautiful Full Flower Moon. Some other names for May's Full Moon are:

  • Mother’s Moon
  • Milk Moon
  • Corn Planting Moon

Full Moon's were named by the Native Americans to help keep track of the season. May is said to be a time of increased fertility. The warmer temperatures make it safe to give birth and help plants in blossom.

Have you heard this Full Moon Folklore from the Farmers Almanac?

  • Clothes washed for the first time in the Full Moon will not last long.
  • The Full Moon is an ideal time to accept a proposal of marriage.

Special thanks to photographers Neal Cook and Stacy Brown for their photos.
