First Date On Valentine’s Day Weekend: Good or Bad Idea

Ask anyone that has dipped their toe into the dating pool, they'll tell you that it isn't easy. Throw in a coronavirus pandemic and it's almost impossible. So here's a question for you: Should your first date be on Valentine's Day or Valentine's Day weekend?

Before last year, you could ask her out to dinner or go to a movie. In 2021, movie theaters in our area aren't open, but you could ask her to come to your place for a movie night.

You're thinking 'Netflix and Chill" but she's thinking that she wanted to do something for Valentine's Day weekend and you were the only option. Awkward.

Last year, you could ask her out to dinner but this year it's takeout or home delivery. Potential problem; if you have her over, then you have to clean your place including the refrigerator.

Here's an idea, you could invite her over and offer to cook together. Translation: I don't really know how to cook but if we (you) do it together, we could have a fun time.

So is it a good idea to have your first date on Valentine's Day? I did an informal survey with the ladies in the building...Okay, I asked Traci. She said, "DON'T DO IT!!!"  Traci may be biased though because she's not a big fan of Valentine's Day. If you didn't know, it's also her birthday.
