I absolutely love this time of year.  Not too hot, not too cold.  Cool nights make a great excuse for a campfire.  Hiking in the mountains, breathing the fresh air, enjoying the sounds and sights of nature.  What could be better?

How about enjoying many of these things and more for little or no money?  Depending on where you live, exploring the Adirondack State Park, can really be nothing more than the price of a tank of gas to get there.

According to newyorkupstate.com, here are some things you can do in the mountains for free:

Warren County Bikeway - a 9 mile bike trail that begins at the southern tip of Lake George.

Free public concerts in Lake Placid during the Mirror Lake Music Series

Free fireworks in Lake George - Every Thursday night in July and August

3,000 lakes and ponds to swim in

And so much more!  Maybe it's time to take a break from fighting through the arterial project and head north!  Get more information HERE
