One of the murderers who escaped from Clinton Correctional Facility may have ties to a location in Onondaga County.  David Sweat, one of the two prisoners who escaped last Friday, may have some kind of connection to Clay, New York, although authorities aren't sure exactly what that connection is.

A bulletin issued by Onondaga County 911 Saturday evening said that Sweat has ties to the Casual Estates trailer park, now called Madison Village, in the town of Clay. It wasn't clear if Sweat has family or friends there, or some other connection to the area. (Syracuse.com)

The escape has been compared to the movie "The Shawshank Redemption" due to the apparent planning.

"It was an elaborate plot," Gov. Andrew Cuomo said after joining law enforcement authorities to retrace the prisoners' escape route. (Syracuse.com)
