Dynacraft has recalled approximately 20,000 ride-on toy vehicles due to acceleration pedal failure. According to the recall, the pedal can stick posing fall and crash hazards.The recall involves three models of 12 volt battery operated ride on toys. They include the following:

  • Surge 12V Camo 4X4: Sold at nationwide Walmart stores between June, 2016 and March, 2017 and have the model number 8803-31.
  • Surge 12V XL Quad: Sold at Academy Sports and Outdoors stores nationwide from September 2016 through March 2017. This ride-on vehicle has the model number 8803-38.
  • Tonka 12V Mighty Dump trucks: Sold at Toys R Us stores nationwide and  at ToysRUs.com from July, 2016 through November, 2016. The model number for this ride-on-vehicle is 8801-96U.

Consumers are urged to immediately take the ride-on toy away from the child and contact Dynacraft. The company will replace the foot pedal free of charge and recommend bringing the toy to an authorized service location if help is needed with the repair.
