UPDATE: 05/08/2015 9:09am The "Do Not Drink" order that was in place for Oriskany Boulevard in Yorkville has been lifted.
The Mohawk Valley Water Authority has issued a Do Not Drink Order for customers on Oriskany Boulevard in Yorkville.
The MVWA issued the order due to the possibility of petroleum contamination in an excavation for a leaking hydrant valve. Customers are asked not to use water for drinking or cooking, but the water can be used for flushing toilets.
The affected area is Oriskany Boulevard north between Edward Street and westerly to Elmwood Avenue.
