Actor Sherman Hemsley Dead At 74


Actor Sherman Hemsley died at his home in El Paso, Texas. He was 74. Our sister station Lite 98.7 says the Philadelphia native apparently died of natural causes. First seen as the Bunkers next door neighbor on All in the Family, the short-tempered and short-statured actor became so popular that he and his TV wife were spun off into their own series. The Jeffersons quickly joined All in the Family near the top of the prime-time ratings and ran 11 seasons.


Five Stars Of Modern Family Heading To Court


Five stars of Modern Family are trying to get out of their contracts with the hit show. In a recently filed lawsuit, the stars claim their contracts with ABC violate a California law prohibiting personal service contracts from extending for more than seven years. They're asking a judge to rule the contracts are illegal and should be voided because they prohibit the actors from other work.
