Out of an abundance of caution, the Clinton Central School District is currently on lockout.

Superintendent Dr. Steve Grimm says the district was notified around 9:00 am that three suspects were involved in a traffic stop related to a burglary at Giovanni's Pizzeria on College Street that took place on Tuesday evening. The suspects then fled into the woods.

Dr. Grimm says he was informed at 9:45 am that a female suspect was apprehended, but the other two suspects remain at large. It is alleged that the female suspect may have been responsible for kicking in the door at Giovanni's.

Dr. Grimm tells us law enforcement does not feel there is a threat to the district or it's students, but the lock out was called out of an abundance of caution. As a result, all outdoor activities are cancelled and there is an increased presence of law enforcement. The district is monitoring all entrances and confirming the identity of anyone entering the building.

We will update this story as it develops.
