We have another movie to be filmed in our area and they're looking for local actors. The filmmaker is pretty familiar with this area as he is a Frankfort native. The local filmmaker is Michael Flores, a native of Frankfort New York.

The reputation that we New Yorkers are easy to work with and go the extra distance is getting out and we will have two movies being filmed in the very near future, one in Syracuse and one in Utica.  Based on the fact we have had so many in our region over the last year or so, I would suspect there will be more coming!

This may be your chance to appear in the film "The Cold Days Of Summer"  a boxing film based on real-life events. A boxer battles injury, criminals and an authoritarian school board to save his scholarship and learns the true cost of the American dream.

On Sunday, July 29th local community members will have the chance to audition for supporting and feature roles at a casting call in the office space above Bite Bakery and Cafe in downtown Utica. The casting call will be held from 11 am to 6 pm. Actors are asked to arrive early for the audition with a prepared monologue.

There are many roles available for men, women, and children, ages 5 to 75. Maybe I'll see some of you on the big screen!
