Some of the Canals are also busting at the seams because of all the water. See where they're closed until further notice.

  •  The rising water levels and swift currents closed the Oswego Canal until further notice.
  • The Erie Canal is temporarily closed between Locks E-2 Waterford and E-22 Sylvan Beach due to high current and water levels - until further notice.
  • The Champlain Canal is closed due to excessive rainfall, runoff, and resultant high water levels - until further notice.

NYS has several ways to check our roadways including 511NY. You can call 511, or visit www.511ny.org before traveling to check road conditions. Mobile users can download the free 511NY mobile app from the iTunes or Google Play stores. The app features Drive mode, which provides audible alerts along a chosen route while a user is driving, warning them about incidents and construction.
