Blink-182 Confirm ‘Enema of the State’ Full Album Performances for Summer Tour
Just last month, Mark Hoppus told a fan on Twitter, "It’s possible that we might play Enema of the State in its entirety just for fun at some shows this summer. Maybe." That came after the band played the 20-year-old album in full at the Back to the Beach festival earlier this year. But now it appears that "some shows" is actually all of them.
According to a press release issued Wednesday (June 5), the band now intends to play Enema of the State in full during the dates on their summer run. The trek launches June 27 in Columbus, Ohio and features Lil' Wayne and Neck Deep also on the bill. Ticketing info for the run can be found here, while the dates are all listed below.
Enema of the State catapulted the band to the top of the alt-rock scene back in 1999, with the album peaking at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart. The set yielded such massive radio singles as "What's My Age Again?," "All the Small Things" and "Adam's Song." The album went on to be certified five times platinum in the U.S.
The 12-song set clocked in at just a tad over 35 minutes in length, and with Blink-182 headlining dates this summer, there should be room for other band favorites as well. What is not known is how much of their new music will surface in set lists. The band has been closing in on a new album, and while a release date has not been announced, it's expected to arrive this summer, according to Mark Hoppus.
