Backflip With Keith – On This Day 135 Years Ago, Thomas Edison Invented The Phonograph
Today is a momentous occasion because if Thomas Edison hadn't invented the phonograph or what we know as the record player now that eventually led to CD's and mp3's later, us radio deejays may not even have jobs today! Of course somebody else could've feasibly come up with the grand idea had our guy not gotten the light bulb over his head to do so first, but we're just as happy throwing him the credit!
Edison was FULL of good ideas! Obviously the electric light bulb that I hinted at a second ago, but also the motion picture camera too. Jeez, we'd have no radio, no movies and no lights if it weren't for this guy!! Major props to my fellow Buckeye (Ohio native)! Also, not bad for a high school drop-out too, jeez.
