Jan 14, 1972 - NBC-TV debuted "Sanford & Son." Good old family racism at it’s finest.  This controversial show featured junk shop owner Fred Sanford, and his son Lamont living in Compton LA and they dealt with the hardships of living in poverty during the 70s.  Fred’s biggest hardship was putting up with his sister-in-law, Esther, who constantly quoted scripture and commonly referred to Fred as a “fish-eyed fool” and a “heathen”.  Be a winner with the Classic Rewards Club when you enter the keyword Sanford.  Good luck and thanks for listening.
