A new grocery store will be built at the intersection of West Chestnut Street and Turin Street in Rome and they're looking to bring more than 100 new jobs.

Move over Walmart, move over Price Chopper, A Hannaford is coming to town, and they're looking to hire around 150 people.

According to the WIBX 950 49,000-square-foot Rome Hannaford Supermarket & Pharmacy will offer items we've become accustomed to like a large variety of organic products, Taste of Inspirations and Nature’s Place brands and a pharmacy. The WIBX reports:

The supermarket also will offer a full-service pharmacy, with drive-through; Hannaford To Go, a service that allows customers to select items online and pick up their orders at the store; in-store café; and a huge selection of ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat items, the release said.

Walmart, Price Chopper Save-A-Lot, and Tops are the current choices for grocery shopping in Rome. No word on when the store will be open for business.
