The Sears store closings continue - which includes a number of Kmart stores, one right here in Central New York. 

Sears announced the latest round of closings Friday, bringing their store count down to 1,140. The new list of stores on the closure list includes 35 Kmart's and 8 more Sears stores.

The New Hartford and Rome Kmart locations closed earlier this year - now the Kmart store at 200 S. Washington Street in Herkimer is next on the chopping block.
