Alpaca Ice Rescue At Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo

Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo wasn't spared the recent flooding, and it quickly froze in the Alpaca field.

The recent thaw and flooding followed by rapid freezing have made it challenging for Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo. Being stranded was very distressing for the Alpaca sisters Peaches and Apricot. At first, Fort Rickey was attempting to push them over the ice, but it was uphill, so that didn't work. Then they decided to break up the ice and make a path for them.

The ordeal ended safely with the Alpacas back in their shelter.
