6 Fashion Choices That’s Hazardous To Our Health
Skin tight skinny jeans, heavy earrings, overstuffed purses, sky high heels, sexy panties, manicures and pedicures. We fall victim to our fashion choices. Some can be hazardous or at least compromise our health.
Skinny Jeans For Men And Women
Skinny jeans have been around for 10 years or more. This may not be the best choice for your bottom half. Forcing yourself into a pair that may be a size to small can cause nerve compression which makes you lose feeling in your legs and feet.
For men wearing skin tight denim can cause overheating (you know where) and possible fertility problems.
Ladies, not only will overheating occur but you can also get a variety of uncomfortable infections where medical attention maybe required.
Overstuffed Purse
We carry a tablet, smartphone, Garmin (that might be just me, but I NEED it), brush, makeup, keys, and much more. Mine probably weighs about 10 lbs. My chiropractor would always scold me. This will lead to serious back, neck and shoulder problems. It also reeks havoc on your posture which is another issue all-together.
Manicures And Pedicures
I know they're mandatory but you must check out the place you choose to go to. Have the tools been sterilized before being used on you? Does it look clean and sanitary or dusty and filthy? If possible stay away from acrylic. It's much easier to get an infection with them verses gel.
Body Piercings/Earrings
Body piercings can easily get infected and cause swelling, bleeding and pain. You can also be allergic to the jewelry itself. A lot of people are allergic to nickel which is found in many metals causing a itchy rash that's not pretty.
Getting ears pierced come with the same complications as body piercings. Find a reputable location to have it done. Don't recruit a friend with a needle and ice cube for this job. Make sure your not allergic to the jewelry before hand and DO NOT wear heavy earrings the size of Texas. That will stretch out your earlobes. You don't want that.
Sexy Panties And Undergarments
Oh yes. We have to go there. Control top anything is not good for you. It puts added pressure on your stomach, makes the cupcake factor even worse at the top of the waistband, you can't breathe, gives you heartburn, complicates IBS and makes you downright uncomfortable. Now about the sexy little panties that we like to wear. Buy the wrong fabric and you won't be feeling very sexy if you know what I mean.
High Heels
I love high heels and I bet you do too. It's a shame they're so bad for us. All that extra pressure on our joints, hammer toes, blisters, back pain, and that's just the beginning. We're supposed to start using insoles in our heels and when possible (you know when they match the outfit) switch to wedges or flats. Boring...
