Certainly there are more than 3 fast food restaurants we wish had a home in Upstate, New York but these are a few of our favorites.

In-N-Out Burger

We may need to keep dreaming for awhile because as of now, this burger joint only makes their "never frozen" burger patties in Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, California, and Texas.

Here's Matt enjoying a burger in Sacramento.

In-n-Out also specializes in Double-Doubles, and Neapolitan Milkshakes that are made to order. According to New York Upstate.Com:

There's a reason In-N-Out is considered some of the best fast food in the country.

Oh, and we can't forget about the Animal Style burger at In-N-Out: A  mustard cooked  patty, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and Thousand Island dressing. Delicious!

With menu options like: Grilled Chicken Nuggets, and the Chicken Salad Sandwich, we're bound to feel healthier about eating at this popular fast food chain. They even have a Cow Appreciation Day. If you dress like a bovine on that special day, you'll receive a free entree.

According to New York Upstate.Com:

The Atlanta based chain now with more than 1,950 locations, has recently began dipping its toes (or waffle fries) into the New York City market. Could a move Upstate be next?

After NYC, the next closest city to a Chick-fil-A, is Scranton, Pennsylvania. And even if the restaurant does eventually make it Upstate, hopefully you don't ever get hungry for a Grilled Chicken Club late in the weekend; all of the Chick-fil-A's are closed on Sundays.

Jack in the Box

Where else can you get egg rolls, tacos, and hamburgers under one roof? The chain opened in 1951, and has more than 2,200 locations, but currently there are zero in New York.

Currently, the closest Jack in the Box restaurant to Central New York is in West Chester, Ohio. It's about a 10 hour drive but if you're really hungry for a Sourdough Jack, then go ahead and make the trip.
