Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez Announces Retirement

A-Rod will play his final major league baseball game next Friday.  Rodriguez and the Yankees made the announcement prior to Sunday's game against Cleveland.

Fox News reported that an emotional Rodriguez said "This is a tough day.  I love this game and I love this team.  And today I am saying goodbye."

The three-time AL MVP will play his final game at Yankee Stadium on Friday against Tampa Bay.  The 41-year-old is only hitting .204 this season.
