Winter Snow Totals For Central New York Towns
It's been a snowy winter here in Central New York, but the total amounts vary by many inches from one location to another. Camden leads the area so far this winter, with a total of over 112 inches of snow. Meanwhile, Richfield Springs has had only 43 inches so far this season. Its easy to see that in most cases, the closer to the "lake effect" area, the greater the snow totals.
Here are the snowfall amounts for towns in our area for this season as reported by the Northeast Regional Climate Center.
Camden 112 inches
Holland Patent 109 inches
Lowville 102 inches
Dolgeville 75 inches
Westmoreland 71 inches
Oneida 66 inches
New Hartford 58 inches
Whitesboro 54 inches
Richfield Springs 43 inches
Leading the entire state is Redfield. The small Tug Hill town has received nearly 300 inches of snow this season. And, we still have several weeks of winter weather ahead.
