The Whitesboro Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that occurred at the Adirondack Bank on Oriskany Boulevard. The incident occurred just before 11:30 p.m.

Police say that a woman was making a night deposit, and the suspect approached her. The individual allegedly demanded money, pushed the woman to the ground, and assaulted her. The man then stole the bag containing an undisclosed amount of money, and escaped on foot.

The victim claims she was hit with a blunt object, but does not know what she was hit with. According to a statement from Whitesboro police, "The suspect is described as what is believed to be a male approximately 5'6 to 5'7 in height thin to medium build wearing a dark colored puffy jacket, possibly The North Face brand, and plaid dark in color pajama pants, with what appears to be white and dark colored sneakers.  The suspect was also wearing a full dark colored knit ski mask."

Police are also looking for a vehicle possibly involved, described as a white or tan passenger car last seen in the Owens Place area behind the Bank around the time of the incident. If you have any information please contact Whitesboro Police at (315) 736-1944. All calls can be kept confidential.
