Hump Day is July 4th, 2018, a national holiday to celebrate the nation's independence from Britain. Many workers get the day off with pay, but that doesn't mean all Americans get a break.

Independence Day is a federal holiday. If July 4 is a Saturday, it's observed on Friday, July 3. If July 4 is a Sunday, it's observed on Monday, July 5. However this year it's on a Wednesday, smack dab in the middle of the week. Last year with July 4 on a Tuesday many enjoyed a four-day weekend by taking off Monday before.
