Here's a sneak peek at the new Red Panda cubs at the Utica Zoo. So cute. We also have the details on when you can see them in person.

Red Pandas, native to the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China, are Endangered on the IUCN Red List because the wild population has less than 10,000 mature individuals. The species continues to decline due to habitat loss and fragmentation, poaching, and inbreeding depression.

The Utica Zoo announced the arrival of Red Panda cubs on August 15th. The male and one female cub were born in the early morning hours of July 6 weighing about a 1/4 pound each at birth.

The cubs will be off exhibit until the late fall to allow Ming-Yue ample time to raise her cubs in privacy. Make sure to visit the Utica Zoo on September 21st for International Red Panda Day for a special one day sneak peek! [Utica Zoo]

The Utica Zoo Red Panda cubs have or will be featured on national platforms for International Red Panda Day, September 21.
