Utica Man Arrested For DWI After Chase On NYS Thruway

A Utica man is under arrest following a brief police chase on the New York State Thruway.

Officials say, State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 in the Town of Danube and before Troopers could approach the vehicle, the driver sped off.

A brief pursuit ensued and eventually the car exited the Thruway at the Little Falls exit.

State Police finally ended their chase on Route 169 in Manheim and minutes later received a report from Little Falls Police of a hit-and-run property damage accident involving the suspect vehicle.

The driver, 23-year-old Lato-Shamee Jenkins, was ultimately arrested and charged with DWI.
