The Comets just seem to be getting better and better. This time the Comets defeated the Lehigh Valley Phantoms by a score of 3 - 2 in overtime Saturday night at the PPL Center.

Mike Vecchione got the Phantoms on the board with 5:46 left in the first period slipping the puck around Thatcher Demko.

Just 3 minutes into the second period Wacey Hamilton scored and tied the game up until Oskar Lindblom scored for the Phantoms and took the lead back at 16:36 in the second period on a shorthanded goal.

The Comets Philip Holm scored the goal that tied the game with just 57 seconds left. in regulation.

Once again Utica won the game with Hamilton notching the winning goal 1:11 in overtime.Two goals for Hamilton made the difference for the Comets.

Mark, your calendar as the Comets are back in action on Friday the 2nd against the Syracuse Crunch in game seven of the Galaxy Cup series the puck drops at 7 pm at the Adirondack Bank Center.
