Glens Falls High School Dance Marathon has set yet another record in money raised with the help of 815 students. Total raised is $831,191,15 beating last years total of $823,614.

Now in its 41st year, the event has raised a total of more than $6 million since the event began in 1978. Look for the event to grow next year as it is now a designated 501c3 non-profit. This will make it easier for businesses and corporate owners to contribute more while getting a deduction on their taxes.

The money raised is a little more than $1019 for each of the 815 students that took part in the 24-hour dance marathon. Among those selected to receive donations from this year are local organizations like "Woofs for Warriors". that organization helps pair vets suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder with rescue dogs.
