Every year Newsweek Magazine comes out with a list of The Top 500 High Schools in America. This year, two Oneida County high schools and one Onondaga County school made the list. The list that is assembled is focused on which schools best prepare high school students for college. This list is compiled based on four categories: college readiness, college bound percentile, graduation rate, and poverty percentage.

The two Oneida County schools that have made the list are New Hartford and Clinton. Clinton came in at #232 and New Hartford is listed at #286. In Onondaga County, Jamesville-DeWitt ranked #418.

What an awesome accomplishment for Central New York! Administrators and faculty at these schools should definitely be proud!
