Nationwide the weather has been really whacky over the past few years. The only time we ever heard the word tornado was when the Mid West or South got hammered with a series of them. Now it seems tornadoes are becoming more common.Even though they may not be as strong or as wide as they are in the South and Mid West, we still get watches and a few warnings from time to time. A watch does not mean we will get a tornado, but it does mean conditions are favorable. Hopefully we will never see something like the one in the video below here in Central New York.

Update:  A severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for portions of Madison and Oneida Counties until 3:45 this afternoon.
