Coming up soon is the high school football season where players will strive and fight their way for a spot to play in the championship. Here's 5 different facts you should know about this seasons high school football season.

1) Don't Forget The Winners Of Last Years Season

The football season in 2014 was a season to remember for all of its great memories. Last year’s teams that won in the Syracuse dome are coming back as the champions from their division with a title for their school. These teams have a good chance at making a repeat for championship. Here's a look at last year’s winners:

Class AA: Henninger Black Nights (11-1)

Class A: Indian River Warriors (12-0)

Class B: Homer Trojans (10-1)

Class C: Notre Dame Jugglers (9-2)

Class D: Dolgeville Blue Devils (9-2)

NFF: Lafayette/Fabius-Pompey Lancers (10-0)

2) Not Every Team Can Be Expected To Win Their Division This Year

The teams listed in number one, are expected to come back into the dome and win another championship. These teams were so dominant in their division by winning games by 10, 20, or even 30 points. However, not every single game was a blow out. A few games came down to the end. Here are teams expected to be tough competition to the defending champions:

Class AA: Liverpool Warriors

Class A: Whitesboro Warriors

Class B: Cazenovia Lakers

Class C: Herkimer Magicians

Class D: Sandy Creek Comets

NFF: Bishop Grimes Cobras

3) Expect The Unexpected

The football teams in each division can come out with a bad, decent, good or perfect record. However, it doesn’t mean they will repeat with the record they had before. Every team has a chance to either make a repeat run to the dome, or have a chance to make up for the previous season.

Teams such as the RFA Black Nights, Fowler Falcons, Waterville Indians were teams that had bad records in their division, but they could come back to win it all this year. Don’t expect the same teams to win each year in the Syracuse dome. You never know what to expect until you see two teams from each division face off.

4) When Are Season Scrimmages?

The season scrimmages kick off for teams either on 8/29 or 8/30. First games for teams will begin on either 9/3, 9/14 or 9/15. The first game is a way to start out strong. If your team comes off a win, and you continue to have back to back wins, your team will gain confidence for every win you earn. This will make your team confident enough to go out during the playoffs and win it all. The playoffs begin either on 10/23 or 10/24.

5) Football In High School Is A Way To Show Yourself Off

Football can be a sport that you could take seriously. It’s a way to make new friends, considering you and a bunch of other people have the same interest in the game. Football, and any sport for that matter, is a great way to socialize and try something new. It's a good way to see whether you like it or not. Football is a fun sport that you should recommend anyone to try out, especially if you play it.
