The first UC Pioneer goal of each hockey game is an electric feeling already but once a year the goal becomes much more than just a point on the scoreboard. Imagine the buzzer going off and then suddenly thousands of plush toy teddy bears and stuffed animals start raining down seemingly from the heavens to the ice literally piling up the entire surface. That's all fine and good, but WHY do we do it and why does it sell out every year?
