There's a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to the nonstop severe storms... unfortunately the light is one last round of heavy lightning.

When it comes to snow in New York, there is a love-hate relationship. This is one of the things everyone hates about it.

On Wednesday, June 30, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch reporting that hail, lightening, and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour. The first storm hit the area around 1:10PM.

Forget a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. A Waterville woman found glass at the end of a lightning bolt.

Severe storms rolled through Central New York, bringing lots of thunder and lightning. A woman captured the moment one bolt hit the ground in Waterville.

The NWS is looking for storm reports (wind damage, flooding, hail, etc.) from the storms that moved through portions of CNY.

Another round of thunderstorms is expected on Thursday with strong wind gusts and heavy downpours possible in CNY.

Showers and a few thunderstorms will move across the region late this afternoon and tonight. These storms have the potential to be severe.

Batten down the hatches tomorrow, Friday, July 27, 2018, as there's a strong possibility for severe storms to roll through CNY.

A High Wind Watch has been issued in CNY for wind gusts up to 60 mph for most of central New York including heavy rainfall and isolated thunderstorms.

UPDATE: 5/30/17 12:50 pm: A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is now in effect until 8 PM tonight for Central New York.
