Utica Police are investigating the city’s latest homicide and a separate shooting on Sherman Place.

State Police say the shooting happened at around 12:15 p.m. Sunday at the Red Carpet Inn on Lawrence Street.

The family and friends of a homicide victim in the City of Utica have put together a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer.

According to officials, Justin Peak turned himself in at police headquarters Wednesday night in connection with the homicide of Cleastore Jefferson.

The violence continues in Utica as police began a homicide investigation late Wednesday night.

A suspected killer is on the loose somewhere in New York State and law enforcement has reason to believe he is armed and dangerous.
