The outbreak of civil unrest and disturbances as a reaction to the death of George Floyd is hitting close to home. After riots in Syracuse, Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon declared State of Emergency. To maintain law and order a curfew is in effect from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM. "There is danger of increased unrest and rioting in Onondaga County," McMahon stated.

Everyone is prohibited from public places within the county between those hours. Walking and driving is also prohibited within the county .

The curfew doesn't apply to anyone providing essential emergency services or anyone heading to or from work.
