Athletes from the Sitrin STARS program are in Gangneung, South Korea for the 2017 World Wheelchair Curling Championships.

The competition includes teams from Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Korea, Norway, Russia, Scotland and Switzerland.

Team USA is comprised of local athlete Jimmy Joseph (New Hartford, NY), Steve Emt (Manchester, CT), Kirk Black (San Antonio, TX), Penny Greely (Green Bay, WI) and Justin Marshall (Evansville, WI). Marc DePerno, Director of Sitrin STARS adaptive sports program, will serve as the Team Leader.

Team USA's first game will take place on Saturday.

The World Wheelchair Curling Championships will run through March 11th.
