Ice T And Preacher Lawson Coming To CNY

Law and Order: SVU star Ice T and Preacher Lawson from 'Americas Got Talent are both scheduled at The MVCC Cultural Series.

We've watched Ice T on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” for 20 years, but did you know he also speaks at prisons, high schools, and colleges? Ice T has become an influential spokesman for America’s youth, regardless of color. His lecture during The MVCC Cultural Series is titled “*Race in America: Bridging the Gap.”

The MVCC Cultural Series Ice T lecture is October 5th at 7 p.m in the Jorgensen Athletic/Event Center on the Utica Campus. Tickets are $20 general public, $15 MVCC employees

Also making an appearance is Preacher Lawson from NBC's “America's Got Talent” on November 7th. Tickets are $15 general public, $10 MVCC employees. MVCC says:

Lawson is one of the most likable, animated characters you’ll event see perform. His clean, goofy, energetic style will keep you on your toes, and more importantly, laughing! From reaching the finals in 2017 on “ America's Got Talent” to competing in the finale on "America's Got Talent: The Champions” in 2019, he will now be performing for us in our Schafer Theater stage on the Utica Campus
