While visits with jolly ol' Saint Nick may look a little different this year, Bass Pro Shop and Cabela's locations across the country are getting ready to welcome the magic of Santa's Wonderland back into their stores.

Santa will make his grand arrival at Central New York stores in Utica and Auburn on November 7 at 5 p.m. There will be a tailgate event to welcome him, featuring special giveaways, hot cocoa, and plenty of holiday magic. Visits (and free photos) with Santa will begin that night and run through December 24, giving families plenty of chances to experience the wonder of Christmas while also following safe and healthy practices like social distancing and face masks.

Santa visits will be completely contactless, with an acrylic Magic Santa Shield barrier between families and Santa Claus at all times. Santa's elves and visiting families will be required to have temperature screenings prior to entering the area, and face mask requirements will follow local and state guidelines. Here in Central New York, face masks will be required at all times. Santa's Sanitization Squad will also be on-duty, cleaning the Santa Shield between each family to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Reservations to visit Santa's Wonderland are required in advance and can be made through the Bass Pro Shop website starting November 2.
